Find out what is happening in your area this year. Fill in our form at the bottom of this page to let us know about your planned event. We'll add it to this page. Whatever you've got planned for the BBC Children in Need appeal this year, we want to know about it. Fill in the form at the bottom of this page, and we'll promote your event online and on BBC Radio Cornwall. We may even pop in on the day! Here's a list of some of the events planned so far for the appeal: On The Day"Chynowen Parc", Cornwalls own geriatric party band have got together with Newquay Sports Centre to put on a dance on the 16 November. Tickets are limited to 200 and will be available on the door on the night at only £2 each. The fun starts at 8.30pm. All moneys raised will go to Children in need so we want as many people as possible to attend. Joel Scoble is running from Truro to Falmouth for Children in Need. He sets off from the County Arms in Truro at midday - please support him on his run! Sponsored Car washing will be taking place on the day in Liskeard. If you're in Saltash look out for Frederick. He'll be out and about in a dress raising money for Pudsey on the big day. Good luck Frederick! Don't forget to send us a photo. As part of Children in Need day Landewednack Primary School will be making Pudsey cookies and cakes in school, which they will sell on Friday 16 November. Staff from Intentions Acupuncture Clinic, of Redruth are raising money for Pudsey by doing a scratch card game. Helston Leisure Centre is gearing up for the annual Children in Need sponsored swim which will take place on Friday 16 November. There will be 2 x 15 minute sessions and 1 x 30 minute session running on the night commencing at 5.30pm, when swimmers will be encouraged to swim as many lengths or widths as they can in the time allocated for sponsorship. A donation of £2 per swimmer is required. More information on 01326 563320. The children of Tregolls School Truro are dressing up as cartoon characters for BBC Children in Need Day. A Penryn based private hire taxi firm will be donating their fares to Children in Need on the evening of Friday 16 November. Other events in more detailTwo big events happening for Pudsey are the Trelawny Challenge which is being held on Friday 9 November and an Only Fools and Horses night on Friday 16 November. Click on the links below to find out more: Other events on different dates:Friday 9 NovemberAt RNAS Culdrose on Friday 9 November a race between two teams of firemen will take place. They are cutting cars up to put through an inner tube. All in aid of Children in Need. Good luck chaps! Saturday 10 NovemberAlex Herbert is doing a 14 mile bike ride on Saturday 10 November from Penzance to St Just there and back in aid of the BBC charity. Chy-woon estate in Illogan will be walking six miles out to Portreath on Saturday 10 November for Pudsey. Residents of Well Parc, Trevone, Padstow are holding a big event to raise money for the charity. The James Bond Casino evening with a five couse meal will cost £30 per ticket or turn up at 8.30pm on the night of Saturday 10 November and pay £5.00 to get in play. Also on the night there is a huge auction with some fantastic prizes like a gallon of whisk, golf days etc. On the 9 November there will be a line dancing evening on the estate for Children in Need. And Sunday 11 November sees the residents holding a children's party to raise funds for Pudsey. Well done! Young Jasmine from Truro is holding a sponsored Heelys Obstacle course for Children In Need. Heelys are the trainers with wheels. Good luck Jasmine! Sunday 11 NovemberOn the 11/12 November there is a sponsored Sing-A-Long in all Jo Jingles classes throughout west Cornwall and a huge Sing-A-Long with Big Jo and Pudsey Bear. Wednesday 14 NovemberDavid Matthews is undergoing a special hair transformation on the 14 November at Mirage Hair salon St Austell. Send us a picture David! The 2nd Helston Brownies are going to do a play - 'The Wizard of Oz' and raised as much money as they can for BBC Children in Need. The play takes place on Wednesday 14 November at 7pm. Proceeds from a Launceston Light Lunch will go to Children in Need on the 14th November at Langore Village Hall, Launceston, Cornwall.
