It was like a media circus at the Oasis Centre on Saturday 5th April 2003 as presenters, producers and equipment from BBC Cambridgeshire arrived in Wisbech for the Media Day!
Media stars from the BBC were at the Oasis Centre on Saturday, helping Wisbech North to get some hands-on experience at making TV, radio and internet. Young and old had a great time with a host of different activities from reading the news to "goo-ing" photos on the computer. Take a look at some photos from the day:
BBC Look East's Julie Reinger showed people how she forecasts the weather!
Lots of people had a go at reading the News - but we think that 'aliens landing in Wisbech' might have been a spoof story!
BBC Look East reporter Anna Todd explained how to use a camera and film a report.
After recording interviews and making sounds effects, Radio Cambridgeshire presenter Nick Carter helped everyone to edit their clips into a package!
Julie Reinger posed for a photo, not realising that she was about to be "gooed"!
The BBC Cambridgeshire website team showed how you can add special effects to photos - and everyone loved "goo-ing" their pictures!
Young Charlotte was dying to have her picture taken with Look East's Stuart Ratcliffe and Voices producer Catherine Carr....
...and then she took much pleasure in making the picture look very strange indeed!
Vincent enjoyed using the mini-disc recorder to interview people and make some great radio packages... Look out BBC Cambridgeshire - Wisbech North has definitely got some TV, radio and online stars of the future!
