Sierra Leone president vows to fight corruption
President Ernest Bai Koroma
New president of Sierra Leone, Ernest Bai Koroma
Our world affairs correspondent Mark Doyle has obtained an exclusive copy of an audit by the new Sierra Leone government which reveals mismanagement, corruption and incompetence.

It appears to be an honest attempt by the new government to get to grips with the grim reality of running what has for years been defined by the UN as the world's poorest country.

We joined Mark Doyle on the day of the inauguration of the new president, Ernest Bai Koroma, after he had spoken to him about how he planned to tackle this corruption.

First broadcast 15th November
