The East African regional grouping Igad will meet in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, today for urgent talks on Somalia's continuing political instability.
Igad leaders are expected to re-state their case for the UN to take over from the beleaguered African Union peacekeeping mission in Somalia.
BBC Network Africa's Akwasi Sarpong asked our reporter in Ethiopia, Uduak Amimo, why today's meeting is so urgent.
