Will the swearing in of Goodluck Jonathan to the Presidency of Nigeria bring an end to the country's long period of uncertainty or simply usher in a new one?

With elections due next year, questions are already being asked as to whether President Jonathan will carry on in the job, and indeed whether the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) will even want him.

There is also much speculation as to who will be selected as vice-president.

The BBC's Chris Ewokor reports from Abuja on the likelihood of President Jonathan standing next year.
