Watch a Points West interview with them. Everyone in Swindon who has tickets is looking forward to Radio 1's Big Weekend, but the members of Beatbullyz - one of Swindon's most promising bands - are especially excited, as they are playing at the event on the Sunday. Beatbullyz who consist of rapper Bozo (Daniel Dubose), singer Bully (Andrew Bullimore), drummer Disco (Stuart Anderson) and DJ Chilli (Phil Murphy) are to perform at 12.30pm on the BBC Introducing Stage, which is a showcase of the finest unsigned bands from around the country. The band are also the first ever band from Wiltshire to be asked to appear on a BBC Introducing Stage at any festival. It's been a whirlwind existence for the band because in the four short years they've been together they have won a 4Unsigned online competition to perform on Hollyoaks, landed a management deal with a top London agent and played hundreds of gigs all over the country, to thousands of people. Also a few days before their appearance at the event itself, the band performed on the final night of the official Radio 1 Big Weekend Fringe Festival at Rehab nightclub in Swindon to a capacity crowd. Talking of the opportunity to play to a wider audience at the Big Weekend in Swindon, Bully from the band told BBC Points West's Will Glennon: "We've all worked really hard to make this happen, so to be recognised on the scale that it's going to be, it feels absolutely brilliant."
