Bath's Theatre Royal is once again pulling out all the stops to bring theatre-goers, young and old, the best seasonal pantomime the West has to offer. And recently they held a press gathering to launch this year's production - Cinderella. Cinderella is the best-loved pantomime of them all and this truly traditional production will ensure that every member of the family has a ball. Hi-De-Hi! | | Ruth Madoc as The Fairy Godmother |
Playing the Fairy Godmother will be Ruth Madoc. Ruth, most famous for her role as Gladys Pugh in BBC TV's much-loved sitcom Hi-De-Hi!, has recently appeared as Daffyd Thomas's mother in Little Britain. He now turns his considerable comic talents to the role of Cinderella's best friend, Buttons and will once again be directing. The cast is rounded out by actors Jon Monie and Mark Buffery who play the evil Ugly Sisters Dilly and Dolly and Gillian Budd who takes on the role of Cinderella.
