Britt Ekland

Interview with Britt Ekland

The 70s screen sex bomb visited Swindon recently to meet fans and sign autographs. Listen to our interview.

Britt Ekland was one of the faces of the 70s and was as famous for private life as for her movie roles.

She memorably starred in Get Carter opposite Michael Caine, famously demanded a body double for her character's nude scenes in cult horror flick The Wicker Man and joined the pantheon of Bond girls as ditzy FBI agent Mary Goodnight in The Man With The Golden Gun with Roger Moore.

Her love life certainly kept the tabloids of the time busy as she enjoyed high-profile relationships with both Peter Sellers and Rod Stewart.

Recently she has been out of the limelight but has just finished pantomime in Guildford and was last seen on TV before Christmas when she endured Ann Robinson's caustic barbs on The Weakest Link.

On Thursday 13th January 2005, Britt visited Swindon memorabilia store Infinitely Better to meet fans and sign autographs. BBC Wiltshire's Daniel Garrett was on hand for a chat.
