Are you going to talk to Mummy?
Yeah…yay
Talking, talking, talking Kilah
And we tickle, tickle, tickle
And a tickle, tickle, tickle
Kilah's waiting round the corner
Yes she is, yes she is.
Talking with your baby is a great way to help them learn about the world.
Every chat, smile and giggle helps build their communication skills and playful games like peekaboo or popping out from around a corner encourage babies to listen, pay attention and join in.
Babies respond best when you speak in a high-pitched, sing-song voice. This is sometimes called Parentese or a "baby voice", and experts agree it can be more engaging for babies than using adult language.
By talking, playing and spending time together every day, you're helping your baby develop communication skills they'll use for years to come.
