You don't need to be an expert to take part in The Big Dance Class world record attempt, in fact even if you've got two left feet you can still get involved! Find out here how you can register for one of the most fun days you'll have all summer.

Be part of a new World Record!

The Big Dance Class will form a major live BBC1 broadcast on Saturday 22 July. The programme, 'Dancing in the Street', will be hosted by Bruce Forsyth, and follows the hugely successful Strictly Dance series.

The climax of the programme will be the announcement of a new World Record, set earlier in the day by all the people across the country who took part in their local Big Dance Class. This could include you!

Don't worry if you're new to dancing as you can learn the dance step-by-step. Just click on the links below for short videos of choreographer Luca Silvistrini and London Dance Captain Natasha Gilmore taking you through all five steps.

    How will it work?

BBC Three Counties Radio, together with the Arts Council of England, is hosting your Big Dance Class event for Beds, Herts and Bucks. 3CR Presenters Luke Ashmead and Martyn Coote will be putting their best feet forward and taking part in the event.

    The Big Dance Class

It'll take place in Queens Court, thecentre:mk in Milton Keynes. It's open to everyone, all ages and abilities, and it's completely free!

The Big Dance Class will take place between 12.30pm and 12.40pm precisely, however, anyone wishing to take part will need to register with us between 11.00am and 11.30am. The class will be led by dance experts. There will be a gentle warm up and an opportunity to practice the full routine before the record attempt. Everyone who takes part will get a memento of their record breaking moment.

    How do I get involved?

It's completely free to take part in the Big Dance Class, but you do need to get your name on a register and receive a special entry ticket. This is really important since the BBC has to prove to the people at the Guinness Book of World Records exactly how many people took part.

All you need to do is print off the form below, fill it out, and bring it with you on the day to hand in to one of our registration desks between 11.00am and 11:30am.

Alternatively, you can contact the CSV Action Desk on 01582 441111, and request a form to be sent out to you.

Schools and groups can take part in Big Dance too!

All you have to do is pledge an hour of dance activity during Big Dance week. This could be part of your regular dance activity, or something special for Big Dance. It might be a:

    - dance class or workshop
    - dance party
    - visit to a dance performance

    Register your school here:
    Big Dance Schools Pledge >
    The Big Dance

Schools that register their pledge will be included in the Roll of Honour.

You could be a record breaker!
