High Force. Its distinctive shape and colour were created in the ice age combined with two centuries of lead mining. ![]() Boy standing at the top of High Force Once there you can explore the rocks surrounding the mouth of the Waterfall. If you're feeling adventurous you can make your way (via the stairs) to the top of High Force for a birds eye view of Forest-in-Teesdale and beyond. High Force comes equipped with its own Gift Shop, selling a range of items.
