Place of birth:
Saltburn
What's your favourite part of our area:
Too many to say really, seeing as I was born and bred here, I have so many.
The Princess Alice is one of them, (the pub opposite work where you can spend a very happy hour or two) otherwise that wall outside The Ship Inn at Saltburn where you can sit and hear the sea lapping, and feel the breeze blowing.
There are tons of nice pub gardens, like the one at the Blackbull in Yarm just by the river, or at the star at Harome just through Helmsley.
Sit outside Pacitos in Redcar and enjoy a lemon top, or, on the green at Great Ayton eating one of Petch's fine pies. How about enjoying the magnificence of one of the areas waterfalls at Aysgarth or in Upper Teesdale, or the tranquility of the grounds of one of the many abbeys like the working one at Ampleforth or the ruined one at Bylands?
Take time to be quiet in the coolness of Durham Cathedral enjoying the sounds and the splendour, or smell the uniqueness of a working harbour at Whitby.
Oh my goodness I could go on
