Get ready to sing as we get into the Christmas Spirit with the BBC Radio Suffolk Children in Need carol concert at Snape Maltings Concert Hall near Aldeburgh. Your favourite presenters will make you smile with seasonal readings, and the music will be provided by a pick of Suffolk's best. | | The Reverend Risby addresses his flock |
The Ipswich & Norwich Co-operative Brass Band will be led by their musical director Robin Norman. Singing for us will be the Bungay Choral Society, Cappella Nova from Amberfield School and the choir from Aldeburgh Primary school. BBC Radio Suffolk's weekday afternoon presenter Rachel Sloane will be leading the evening and Pudsey will take part in his own inimitable style. Last year's show at St.Edmundsbury Cathedral was a sell-out. | | Rachel Sloane for Vicar of Dibley? |
If you look at the pictures from 2004, you'll notice the millennium tower scaffolding still in place! This year we're back in the east of the county. Other presenters scheduled to appear at Snape are Maureen Garratt, Mark Murphy, Lesley Dolphin, Nick Risby, Nick Pandolfi and Luke Deal. Bring plenty of loose change (or notes) to put in the yellow bear's bucket. As usual, you can listen to a recording of the show on Christmas Day morning as BBC Radio Suffolk broadcasts musical highlights. |
