Paula was born and bred in Stoke on Trent. The middle child of three she grew up on a council estate in Norton with her mum and dad.

After a broadcasting career spanning 16 years, which has taken her from Surrey and more recently Nottingham, she's finally back where she belongs with her extended family living in Tunstall.

Paula's big news in 2009 is that... she got married! She married her BBC colleague Ajmal Hussain, and Tunstall is still reverberating from the huge party that was held in their honour.
