Lizzie Meek has been to find out how things used to be... These days the police rely on technology modern equipment to help them fight crime but years ago things were very different... The only equipment they had may have been a whistle and a truncheon, there was no CCTV or mobile phones to keep in touch. The uniforms have also moved on and even the names of the force are different but the interest the force certainly hasn't changed for some local historians. Memorabilia has been collected and displayed at museums in the county and some pieces have been part of an exhibition at the Burslem School of Art...
