He’s now a key member of a Residents’ Association trying to shape the area’s future…. I want you to try and cast your mind back to remembering your childhood home. Can you do it? Perhaps you still live near it, or even in it? Well, Fred Rushton's lived in or near his childhood home for all 64 years of his life. But the house he grew up in won't be there much longer, it's going to be knocked down. In fact, Fred's lifelong neighbourhood in Meir, Stoke-on-Trent, is set to see a lot of changes in the coming years. As the developers have moved in, Fred's been busy. He's now a key member of a Residents' Association that he helped to form. And he's determined to help shape his neighbourhood's future....
