Ospreys wing Daniel Kasende will miss the rest of the season following his red card against Cardiff in the United Rugby Championship (URC).
Kasende was shown a 20-minute red card after leading with his forearm while in possession.
This resulted in him striking Cardiff fly-half Callum Sheedy in the first half of Ospreys' 24-21 defeat by Cardiff.
At the disciplinary hearing, the South African accepted he committed an act of foul play which warranted a red card.
The initial six-match suspension was initially halved for his apology, acceptance of the red card and good conduct throughout the process, but an extra match was added due to his previous disciplinary record.
With Ospreys out of URC play-off contention, Kasende will miss the final two matches of this season at home to Scarlets on Saturday, 9 May in Bridgend, before the trip to Leinster seven days later.
The 30-year-old will also be absent for two games of the next campaign which will include pre-season matches.
