Isobel Goodwin's early quickfire double helped London City Lionesses earn their first away win of the Women's Super League season as they beat Charlton at the Valley.
The forward, 23, found the back of the net twice in as many minutes to open her account for the new campaign and end her side's four-game winless run on the road.
England youth international Goodwin broke the deadlock in the 13th minute, firing a low strike past Sophie Whitehouse after a magnificent ball in behind from Alexis Putellas.
It was the first assist the two-time Ballon d'Or winner has registered since her high-profile move from Barcelona in July.
It went from bad to worse for Charlton less than two minutes later when Goodwin doubled her side's advantage.
She finished confidently after a spectacular defence-splitting pass from Daniela Arques that curled behind the backline and perfectly into the path of the forward to flick past the advancing Whitehouse.
WSL newcomers Charlton momentarily halved the deficit six minutes before the break when Jodie Hutton's thumping strike crashed in off the underside of the crossbar after a surging run into the left-hand side of the penalty area.
But any hopes of a comeback were ended five minutes later when Jana Fernandez's close-range header took a deflection off Ellie Mason, wrong-footing Whitehouse and restoring the visitors' two-goal lead.
Goodwin missed the opportunity to seal a first WSL hat-trick when she headed over from inside the area after an inviting cross from Kadidiatou Diani.
But London City added their fourth in the 76th minute when forward Nicole Anyomi followed up to finish after Danielle van de Donk's effort was pushed out by Whitehouse.
It put them in third place on six points, while Charlton remain bottom after becoming only the fifth team in WSL history to lose their opening three games of a season.
