Over on our new Fan Chat page, we have been asking which Women's Super League player you think should win the Ballon d'Or this season, after the 30-strong shortlist was announced last week
There are 11 current WSL players in the running, albeit Alexia Putellas and Mapi Leon made the cut for their exploits playing at Barcelona while Manuka Matsukubo impressed at North Carolina Courage before joining Chelsea.

Scotland captain Caroline Weir also makes a strong case after starring for Real Madrid in the 2025-26 season, while the list has six further contenders from Barcelona, who romped to the Women's Champions League this season.
