Aston Villa return to Villa Park looking for their first home win of the season against Brentford.

Two defeats - by Arsenal and Nottingham Forest - contributed to a poor start but wins over Coventry City in the Carabao Cup and Tottenham in the Premier League have restored momentum.

Villa have not lost three successive home Premier League games under Unai Emery.

The last time they lost three in a row at Villa Park was January-February 2024 when Newcastle and Manchester United beat them in the league, with Chelsea also winning 3-1 in the FA Cup.

Their home form in 2026, though, has been shaky, with losses to Newcastle, Everton, Chelsea, Tottenham and Brentford coming in the second half of last season.

Fortunate wins over Brighton and Sunderland, along with a late point against Leeds, still contributed to their struggles, despite the results.

The unbeaten Bees were the only side to do the Premier League double over Villa last season, while they also knocked them out of the Carabao Cup.

Their 1-0 win at Villa Park in February came as they played more than 45 minutes with 10 men after Kevin Schade's red card.

That was their first victory at Villa Park and Keith Andrews' side will be looking to make some more history on Saturday.
