Cymru Premier: Late Ammanford penalty denies Barry

Barry Town were denied a victory that would have kept them just a point behind leaders The New Saints as Ammanford scored a stoppage-time penalty to earn a 2-2 draw.

Goals either side of the interval from Noah Daley and Daniel Smith put Barry in control but Callum Thomas reduced the deficit.

Thomas then converted a penalty five minutes into added time after the referee consulted with VAR following an incident in the area at a corner.

Connah's Quay Nomads bounced back after defeat at the weekend with victory over Flintshire rivals Airbus UK.

Goals in the second half from substitute Shane Flynn, Jordan Hodkin and Callum West secured a win which puts the Nomads in fourth spot.

Colwyn Bay scored five goals in a devastating first half to beat Holywell Town and seal a first away win of the season.

Late goals from Isaac Jefferies and Ben Wilson sealed victory for Saints while Flint's loss leaves them 14th in the table and still seeking a first win.

Noah Edwards put Caernarfon in front after 21 minutes with his second goal of the season at Llandudno.

But the hosts secured a point in the second as Ben Maher netted against his former side to keep Llandudno in the top six.

Penybont play for over 82 minutes with 10 men and had to come from behind to beat Briton Ferry Llansawel.

Bont's Max Melbourne was shown a straight red card after just eight minutes for an off the ball incident spotted by VAR and Thomas Walters scored from the resulting penalty.

But Penybont turned the game around and goals from Tyler Walker, Chris Venables and Jonathan Leko put them 3-1 up at the break.

Ollie Anderson scored a second for Ferry, who are 12th, while Penybont – still unbeaten – are third.

The meeting of two of the promoted sides saw Cambrian continue their encouraging start to the season while Trefelin's winless run goes on.

Alex John put Cambrian ahead before Liam Eason missed a penalty to double the lead.

But two goals from Eason and a second from John sealed a 4-0 win.
