Jersey Mike's start sponsorship of EFL Trophy

Jersey Mike's have been announced as the new headline sponsor of the EFL Trophy in a five-year deal.

The American sub sandwich brand will support the competition with immediate effect until the end of the 2030-31 season and becomes the fifth sponsor in the past seven years.

The trophy is competed for by League One and League Two clubs along with invited under-21 sides from the Premier League.

Luton Town beat Stockport County 3-1 in last season's final at Wembley to lift the silverware for the second time in their history.

Jersey Mike's already has a familiar face in the EFL with Leyton Orient chairman Nigel Travis having served on the board of the company since January 2025.

"The Jersey Mike's Trophy has an important place in the football calendar," said EFL chief executive, Trevor Birch.

"It gives players valuable competitive minutes, provides meaningful financial support for clubs and offers supporters in League One and League Two the chance to see their team compete at Wembley and win silverware."

This season's final is scheduled for Sunday, 11 April at Wembley.
