Port Vale captain Ben Garrity has signed a new deal to stay with the relegated League One club until 2028.
Midfielder Garrity, 29, was out of contract at the end of the 2025-26 campaign, having made 198 appearances in all competitions since joining from Blackpool in June 2021.
"He represents everything we want Port Vale to be about: leadership, honesty, integrity and complete commitment to the shirt every single day," manager Jon Brady told the Valiants' website, external, calling Garrity's extension "a huge priority".
Brady added: "Ben drives standards on and off the pitch. He leads through his actions, his mentality and the connection he has with the dressing room and our supporters."
Garrity helped Vale earn promotion from League Two in 2022 and 2025 and has been the club's player of the season twice.
Vale triggered contract extensions for defender Connor Hall and midfielder Ryan Croasdale earlier this month, having released 11 players after finishing 10 points from safety.
