Walsall have signed forward Andy Dallas on a two-year deal.
The 26-year-old joins as a free agent following the end of his contract with Barnsley, where he made just five appearances.
Joining the Tykes in 2023 on a free transfer from Solihull Moors, Dallas had loan spells at Kilmarnock, Oldham Athletic, Barrow and Morecambe before spending last season with Southend United.
The Scot scored 17 goals for the National League Shrimpers to help them reach the play-off eliminators and lifted the FA Trophy at Wembley following a penalty shoot-out against Wealdstone.
"From my initial conversations with the manager, selling me the project and what he wants from me, I just felt that I could come and be a part of it which I'm looking forward to doing," Dallas told the club website., external
"I'm a striker that can get in behind, link up play and it goes without saying that I like to score goals as every striker does.
"The club has a great fanbase and a great stadium so everything about the project really appealed to me."
Dallas is new Walsall boss Lee Grant's first signing.
