Leeds United chairman Paraag Marathe has described boss Daniel Farke as "fantastic for the club" and told fans they can "look forward to many more games with him" as the Whites look to extend the German's contract beyond the end of this season.

Farke guided the club to a 14th-place finish in the Premier League last season alongside a run to the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Speaking to BBC Radio Leeds, Marathe said: "Daniel has been tremendous for us. I think the club and the city and everyone in Yorkshire has embraced him."

Leeds travel to champions Arsenal on Saturday (12:30 BST) looking to build on their unbeaten start, and certainly for improvement on last season's 5-0 defeat at Emirates Stadium.
