Jack Scott: Ex-Linfield player signs two-and-a-half year contract with Coleraine

Jack Scott's career at Premiership leaders Linfield ended abruptly at the end of October
Former Linfield player Jack Scott has agreed a two-and-a-half year contract with Coleraine.
The Bannsiders confirmed the signing of the former Northern Ireland Under-21 international on Monday.
The 21-year-old is manager Oran Kearney's first signing of the January transfer window as he attempts to halt a slump of four straight defeats.
"The best testament you can pay Jack is that the game he played against us he was really strong," said Kearney.
"He has really good physical qualities and more importantly, there's a really good football pedigree also," he told the Coleraine FC website.
"We had an honest conversation about what we're trying to do and why the move would be attractive for Jack."
After starring for Linfield Academy, Scott joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2020 and spent three years at Molineux - which included a loan spell at St Patrick's Athletic in the League of Ireland.
He joined Linfield for the start of the 2023-24 campaign but the Windsor Park club announced at the end of October that Scott and striker John Robertson had left the club "by mutual consent" and "with immediate effect".
Kearney continued: "For us, it's trying to make sure that he can kick on, find his feet in football again and kick his career on.
"On the pitch, we're going to get a bundle of energy, a really good work ethic and honesty. He will integrate well off the pitch and the changing room needs that part of it as well."
Coleraine sit sixth in the Premiership table but their place in the top half of the division is under threat from Loughgall, Carrick Rangers and Glenavon, who sit one point, two points and three points respectively behind them in the league standings.
Saturday's 3-1 home defeat by Loughgall made it just one win in nine league outings for the Ballycastle Road outfit and prompted the club's board to issue a statement backing Kearney on Sunday.
The Bannsiders will host Cliftonville in an Irish Cup fifth round tie on Friday night, a match which will be broadcast live on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app.
