South Africa all-rounder Ruan de Swardt has extended his stay with Leicestershire Foxes for the rest of their One-Day Cup campaign.

De Swardt initially joined for the Foxes' final three T20 Blast fixtures and the opening three matches of the 50-over cup competition.

But he will now stay for the remaining five group matches and through to the semi-finals if the Foxes reach the last four.

The 28-year-old hit a career-best List A score of 126 in a 21-run defeat against Lancashire on Sunday, having taken 4-49 with the ball in the five-wicket win over Surrey on Friday.
