Liam Livingstone admits Lancashire are lacking fight after losing four of their first five T20 Blast games.

Lancashire are bottom of North Group going into Tuesday evening's clash at Durham and Livingstone insists they must improve.

The all-rounder and former England ODI captain refused to offer any excuses for their last-ball two-wicket defeat to Glamorgan at Blackpool's Stanley Park on Sunday when the Red Rose county snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Livingstone, 32, who rattled off 81 from 37 balls before taking 3-13, told BBC Radio Lancashire: "I've been part of a lot of Lancashire teams and I've always been proud to be part of Lancashire teams because when our backs are against the wall, we've always fought our way out.

"It feels a little bit at the moment that we're just lacking that real sort of fight and doing things the ugly way, which we've always done really well since the very first game I played.

"We've got to somehow find that again, find a way back to playing that type of cricket.

"It's up to us inside that dressing room, no-one is going to help us. We've got to front up, we've got to go out there again on Tuesday, stick our chests out and go again."

Lancashire have lost their last three T20 Blast games, including a 106-run defeat to Roses rivals Yorkshire at Headingley on Friday, and Livingstone refuses to sugar-coat their poor run.

The Cumbrian scored a T20 record-equalling eight sixes against Glamorgan and said: "At the end of the day, we're paid to score runs, take wickets and win games of cricket for Lancashire and if we don't do that, we're not doing our jobs.

"So we've got to go away and ultimately we've got to get better as a team, every single one of us, myself included."
