Sussex have given academy players Ollie Kirtley, Toby Munt and Freddie Price One-Day Cup contracts for the forthcoming campaign.

Kirtley, 18, a right-arm seamer, is the son of former Sussex and England bowler and the county's lead bowling coach James Kirtley.

All-rounder Price, 19, and left-arm seam bowler Munt, also 19, will also be available for selection for next Wednesday's opener against Glamorgan.

"It is a great testament to the pathway at Sussex under Keith Greenfield that these talented young players have developed," head coach Paul Farbrace said.

"Sussex has a great tradition of developing and producing players to go on and play at the highest level.

"I think at a time when our members are worried and disappointed about players sadly leaving the club, this will give them a boost that we have some very talented young players coming through the pathway."
