The Blue Jays get one run back in the tenth inning as Andres Gimenez's single scores Kazuma Okamoto to make it 4-3.

But in the end the Yankees finish the job and win the game thanks to that Ben Rice home run.

The Blue Jays take the three-game series 2-1 but that feels like an important victory for the Yankees after a tough few days in Toronto.

That is how to respond to a mistake!

Ben Rice steps up at the top of the tenth inning to smash a home run to centre field and put the Yankees back in front.

A moment of redemption for Rice after that error in the last inning.

The Yankees lead 4-2 and once again the Blue Jays will have to launch a comeback to stay in this game.

The Blue Jays have forced this game into a tenth inning, and the Yankees really only have themselves to blame.

First up Ben Rice has a simple enough play at first base to get Josh Smith out but he lets it through and Smith gets on base.

After walking Alejandro Kirk pitcher David Bednar throws a wild pitch which allows Smith to get to third.

Ernie Clement then delivers the sacrifice fly to help Smith score and make it 2-2 in Toronto.

The Yankees are unable to add anything more at the top of the ninth inning so it is down to the final three outs for the Blue Jays to come back from this 2-1 deficit.

Can they find a way to come back in this one and finish off this series with a third straight win?

There's a lot to unpack here so stay with me.

Ultimately the Yankees have a one-run lead as George Lombard Jr. scores easily from second base on a line drive to left field by Jose Caballero.

Caballero ends up caught between second and first base and as the Blue Jays try to tag him out Jazz Chisholm Jr. is able to round the bases and add a second run because Caballero appears to squirm out of trouble and return to first base.

The Blue Jays are confident they did tag Caballero and they challenge the umpire's call.

The challenge is successful and that means the second run for the Yankees doesn't count, but the first still does so it is 2-1 to the Yankees in Toronto.

You're right Elliott. This has been some week for the Blue Jays. If they can finish it with a win today they could edge into a Wild Card spot, at least until the Texas Rangers take on the Athletics later.

It comes from a pair of doubles as Kazuma Okamoto gets on base with a fly ball to centre field.

Daz Cameron then delivers a double of his own to left field to send Okamoto home and make it 1-1.

The Yankees are able to get out of the inning with a double play.

Manager Aaron Boone confirmed on Friday that Judge has started throwing and running as he continues to recover from fracturing his rib.

Judge said recently that he does expect to play again before the end of the season.

As for Cody Bellinger, he could be back as early as next weekend after his hamstring strain.

He will play a AAA game on Tuesday as he steps up his recovery.

The Blue Jays are without Vladimir Guerrero Jr. who was placed on the concussion injury list for seven days after a collision with George Lombard Jr. on Friday night.

They make four changes to their line-up that won on Saturday, with George Springer, Ernie Clement, Daz Cameron and Myles Straw coming in.

The Yankees make just one change as Jazz Chisholm Jr. is rested and Jose Caballero takes his place.
