Eccles claims bronze despite loss in final Games

Defending champion Rosie Eccles will have to settle for a bronze medal after a split-decision defeat against Arundhati Choudhary in front of a partisan crowd at the SEC arena in Glasgow.
There was no love lost between both boxers with tempers reaching boiling point at times during the bout.
Eccles, who was the Team Wales flagbearer at the opening ceremony, lost the first round having been given a standing count after she was caught by an overhand right from her opponent.
India's Choudhary also claimed the second, leaving Eccles with everything to do in the final round.
The Caldicot fighter threw everything she had left in the final round, scoring a knockdown, but unable to find a stoppage.
The 30-year-old was emotional, hugging coach Colin Jones and leaving the ring in tears.
Having left the GB set up in March, Olympian Eccles promised "one last dance" representing Wales at the Commonwealth Games this summer.
She was determined to complete her "trilogy", adding to her silver medal won in 2018 and the gold in Birmingham four years ago.
Eccles has done as she set out to do, but will feel disappointed not to have fought for a gold medal.
The Olympian was one of four Welsh boxers in semi-final action on Friday, with Orlando Holley-Sotomi, Connor Williams and Owain Harris-Allan fighting later.
