Take a look round the refurbished train station, which now includes two water features.  Take a 360 spin around the skate park at Devonshire Green in Sheffield. Peace Gardens take their name from Neville Chamberlain's declaration of 'peace in our time' in 1938.  Clockwise from Sheffield Town Hall, is the striking curved wood & glass roof of the Winter Garden.  The 2001 census showed that there were over 218,000 people living in Barnsley, most in urban centre.  This view from the roof of Meadowhall shopping centre on an inclement day shows the Tinsley viaduct.  Southern end of the square, obscured here by workmen's fences, is home to sculpture exhibitions.  The four storey Town Hall is faced in Portland stone. Its tower is 145 feet high.  The site of Sheffield's eggbox was transformed and a new Winter Garden was unveiled in 2002.
