BBC Radio Sheffield presenters take on their own version of the ballroom show... But who will be Brucie?... :: This event has now sold out!Radio Sheffield presenters, newsreaders and weather presenters will be putting on their gladrags and dusting off their dancing feet to compete against each other in a spectacular event "Strictly Dancing for Pudsey" on Wednesday 26th November at Sheffield City Hall Ballroom. Rony Robinson, Howard Pressman, Paulette Edwards, Seth Bennett, Natalie Clifford and weather presenter Lisa Gallagher will be performing in front of a panel of judges for the title. The judging panel includes occasional Radio Sheffield presenter Trisha Cooper, and ex-Eastender Phil Daniels who is appearing in Aladdin in Sheffield as evil Abanazzar. Phil took part in this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing, but was voted out in the first programme after the judges were not impressed with his waltz! (Let's hope he's impressed by Lisa Gallagher's waltz...) Each presenter will be performing with a professional dancer from a dance school. Each of the presenters will perform one dance. They have started rehearsals and already the competition is really hotting up. Tickets cost £10, £3.40 of which is donated to Children in Need. Money raised goes to local children's organisations such as Sheffield and District Afro-Caribbean Community Association which provides after school and homework support for underachieving children from African and Caribbean communities... Rotherham Advocacy Partnerships which provides advocacy for disabled young people... and Sheffield Mencap & Gateway which organises sports, play, craft, cookery and drama activities for young people with learning disabilties. Who dances what?Rony Robinson's dance partner is Emily from June Fletcher Dance Academy in Sheffield. They will be performing a classic disco dance from the 70's. ![]() Howie and Nikki Paulette Edwards will be performing a Cha Cha Cha with her dance partner James who teaches at City Limits dance studio. Howard Pressman is dancing with Nikki from Branching Out Dancing and they will be dancing a disco number. News reader Natalie Clifford is working with Mark from Easy Dance in Sheffield and they will be performing a Jive. Football Heaven presenter Seth Bennett will be performing a Rumba with his partner Francesca who also teaches at City Limits dance studio. ![]() Lisa Gallagher learns to waltz Radio Sheffield and Look North Weather presenter Lisa Gallagher will be dancing her way around the ballroom with the help from her partner and teacher Colin Frith from The Dance Academy, Princess Ballroom and from her teacher Melanie from expressions dance studio in West Yorkshire. Various performers from the local dance schools who have been helping the presenters learn to dance will be performing as well as top amateur performers and a special performance from other staff at the BBC in Sheffield. The audience will also be able to take to the dance floor with a disco afterwards.
