Venezuela earthquake death toll continues to rise

The authorities in Venezuela now say at least 235 people are known to have died in Wednesday's earthquakes. International rescue and relief efforts are being ramped up. Concerns are growing that Sudan's strategic city of El Obeid faces a humanitarian disaster as fighting intensifies between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces, or RSF.
