Stockport Drug and Rape: Trailer

In Court
Contains some scenes of a sexual nature.

Available for over a year

Follow the trial of a husband from Stockport accused of plotting with 13 other men to drug and rape his wife, multiple times. The husband, who is in his sixties, has pleaded guilty to 15 charges, including rape but is set to stand trial on 33 other charges - he cannot be named to maintain his wife's anonymity. Twelve other men will stand trial at the same time. They are alleged to have sexually abused the victim or helped supply substances to render her unconscious, including at her home address. One man, Keith Fotheringham, 59, from Dundee, Scotland, has already pleaded guilty to all charges he faced. The husband and the 12 other co-defendants – who all deny the charges - will stand trial at the same time, at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court. Join BBC Journalist, Mat Trewern and BBC Radio Manchester Presenter, Michelle Dignan, as they follow this major criminal trial from day one.
