The Great Baddow gold coin mystery
Available for over a year
Britain's largest-ever recorded collection of Iron Age gold coins is going on public display for the first time. The find of almost 1000 coins dates from between 60 to 20 BC and was unearthed in Great Baddow near Chelmsford more than 2,000 years after it was buried. Why the coins were hidden and never collected later on remains a mystery... Picture credit: Museum of Chelmsford.
