Dame Carol Homden is the current Chief Executive of Coram - the UK's first and longest continuing children's charity - which was first established as The Foundling Hospital way back in 1739. Originally from Shrewsbury, Carol came to London in the early 80s, working in marketing and communications for Westminster University, where she oversaw its re-branding from the Polytechnic of North London. In 1999 she became Commercial Director at the British Museum, and held the same role at the Prince’s Trust, before her move to Coram in 2007.
