African countries stand to gain from gas trade

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has sent energy prices spiralling, while European countries are moving away from their dependency on Russian gas supplies. Is there an opportunity there for gas producers in Africa? Abu-Dhabi-based Energy Economist, Dr Carole Nakhle, explains how countries like Mozambique and Algeria may end up benefitting from selling more gas to Europe, but this will depend on how long it will take them to scale up production.
