If You Tolerate This: The Welsh Brigadistas and the Spanish Civil War

Available for 35 days

Francis Jones explores the story of the Welsh volunteers who travelled to Spain to fight in the Spanish Civil War. Why did nearly 200 men from Wales risk everything for a conflict far from home? Through personal stories and historical insight, this programme examines the ideals, loyalties and controversies that continue to shape their legacy nearly 90 years on.
