Elizabeth Alker brings you an afternoon of exclusive music-making including performances of great summer of music-making in the UK and abroad. From the Edinburgh International Festival, violinist Vilde Frang and pianist Olli Mustonen perform music by Bartók. From Amsterdam, Poulenc’s ballet, Les Biches and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade bring two very different colours to the concert hall, courtesy of recent performances from two of the Netherlands's most prestigious orchestras. From Utrecht, Le Poème Harmonique and Vincent Dumestre perform music from the 18th century; and the Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra, directed by Michael Waterman, present music by the ingenious CPE Bach.
