They're a huge part of south asian culture but they're changing dramatically. What might once have been a community hall reception organised by your parents can now involve luxury venues, personalised entertainment, cinematic wedding films and carefully curated social media moments. Amber Haque is joined by events organiser Kailash Karia, bridal makeup artist Manisha Champaneri and wedding photographer Onam Giri to discuss how South Asian weddings have evolved, what today's couples expect from their big day, and whether the pressure to create the perfect celebration is changing the experience.
