Stranded in Spain After Heart Attack

Consumer Fight Back

Available for 29 days

Linzi Lima talks to Stephen Kelly, chief executive of Manufacturing NI, who suffered a heart attack while on a short holiday. He says at some points he was left to book his own hotels, organise and pay for medical treatment and ultimately organise his own flight home after failing to reach agreement on whether he was fit to fly with his insurer. We hear his story. It’s caring matters week - we speak to one inspiring young person who has been caring for family since she was a child. Plus we find out what you are entitled to financially as a carer, as well as the ins and outs of the Motability scheme. Now something that has been capturing the imagination of the nation is the BBC’s Race Across the World, and Linzi chats with runners up Maghera natives - Andrew and Molly on how to travel on a shoestring budget. And if you’ve got a story or an experience you’d like to share, you can get in touch - just email cfb@bbc.co.uk
