Jess Gillam swaps music choices with percussionist and composer Beibei Wang. Beibei shares music by Tan Dun, Rautavaara, and introduces Jess to traditional Peking Opera. Jess's choices include an Aria from Purcell's 'semi-opera' King Arthur, and the distinctively laid back sound of South African jazz pianist Abdullah Ibrahim. Beibei talks to Jess about making instruments out of vegetables, playing water, and straddling the worlds of Traditional Chinese and Western Classical music.
