On April 7th 1978, an emerging artist - Prince - released his debut album. Whilst not an overnight commercial success, it made critics sit up and take notice. Prince would go onto become one of the biggest stars in the world by the mid-80s, with a smash-hit film, a string of hit singles, albums and awards to his name. To this day - and seven years following his death - Prince's music continues to inspire and delight music fans all over the world. In this hour-long show, originally broadcast to mark what would have been Prince Rogers Nelson’s 65th birthday, we will hear from a variety of artists who love Prince, have worked with him, covered his music, seen him live and have been inspired by him.
