We'd like you to send us your digital photographs of nature in the region. The prize for the best overall image is a workshop with top wildlife photographer Mark Carwardine, who is also judging the competition. Mark's images have graced books and exhibitions worldwide, and he is also chairman of the judges for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition 2005 and 2006. We need your images by 10am on 26 May 2006, ready for shortlisting by Bristol Photo Club. Mark will then pick four winning entries (one each from Somerset, Bristol, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire) and an overall winner. First prize for the overall winner is a place at a wildlife photography workshop with Mark Carwardine at the Bristol Festival of Nature on Saturday, 3 June, 2006. All four winners will be given a signed copy of one of Mark's books, and their work will be published on the BBC's Where I Live websites in the West. Mark will announce the winning entry on BBC Points West on Thursday, 1 June, 2006. The small print- The competition is open to amateur photographers only.
- The prize is a place at a wildlife photography workshop with Mark Carwardine at the Bristol Festival of Nature on Saturday 3 June, 2006, plus a signed photograph taken by Mark.
- Your image must be your own work and have been photographed in the West of England.
- The BBC reserves the right to publish any images submitted for the competition, but copyright remains with the entrant.
- The judge's decision is final.
- Please do not post photographs - they will not be accepted and we can not return them.
