The Today Debate is about taking a subject and pulling it apart with more time than we could ever have during the programme in the morning.

Nick Robinson will be joined by a panel of guests to consider a topical issue at BBC Radio Theatre in London. The programme will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 4.

The subject of The Today Debate will be chosen shortly before broadcast. Previous debates have looked at the housing market, delays in the justice system and trust in the police.

Tickets will be allocated by random draw.

You can register at any time until 11.59pm on Monday 24 August.

You can apply for a maximum of two tickets.
