US strikes Iran after attack on cargo ship

The US military has conducted strikes on Iranian targets after President Donald Trump accused Iran of a "foolish violation" of its truce following an attack on a cargo ship in the Strait of Hormuz.

Also on today's programme: The death toll from the earthquakes in Venezuela rises to 920; and,Germany and Poland are braced for conditions of above 40 degrees on Saturday as the heatwave linked to dozens of deaths in western Europe moves further east.
