
Will Sudan’s ceasefire be extended?
It is due to end at midnight tonight.
A three-day ceasefire between two rival armies - the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces paramilitary group (RSF) is due to end at midnight tonight. Fighting has continued in parts of the country despite the ceasefire.
Deng Dau Deng, the foreign minister of neighbouring South Sudan which is leading mediation efforts has told the BBC he hopes General Hamdan Dagalo will respond positively to an extension.
And we hear from the United States ambassador to Liberia, Michael McCarthy, on his recent statement accusing the Liberian government of corruption.
