Ethiopian government and Tigrayan forces agree permanent ceasefire

The deal signs an end to one of the most brutal conflicts in Africa.

Following days of peace talks in South Africa, the government of Ethiopia and Tigrayan forces have signed a cessation of hostilities agreement after almost two years of civil war.
