The World Health Organization has issued a global alert over four cough syrups, which it says could be linked to the deaths of dozens of children in The Gambia. The medicines in question were produced by Indian company Maiden Pharmaceuticals, which has yet to comment. We speak to the country’s health services director Mustapha Bittay.
